As a building society and service provider for the private construction financing business of over 800 cooperative banks in Germany, Schwäbisch Hall has been firmly anchored in the cooperative banking sector since the company was founded in 1931. The shareholders are the cooperative central bank DZ Bank (96.8 percent) in Frankfurt am Main and around 600 cooperative institutions.
The cooperative banks form one of the densest banking service networks in Germany. Together with around 3,300 employees in its own sales force, Schwäbisch Hall is thus present throughout Germany and, together with more than 3,200 back office employees, ensures qualified advice and support for customers.
